Things a girl would love her boyfriend to do

1) Give fresh flowers
A girl would always love her boyfriend to give them fresh flowers every now and then. It’s not that she love fresh flowers, it’s just because those flowers represent the only thing that is fresh in their stale and rotten relationship.
2) Hold hands in public
A girl would always love holding her boyfriend’s hand in the public, it’s not that she likes public display of affection nor she is scared of getting lost in the crowd. Holding hand of the guy is just the substitute for a dog’s chain, conveying the other girls around that “This Dog Is Mine”.
3) Candle light dinners
A girl would always love her boyfriend to take her for a candle light dinner. Not because it’s the most romantic thing. But it’s just because the guy won’t be able to see and admire the other girls in the dark, and will have to concentrate only on her face.
4) Look at their face and talk
Oh no, this is not about what you are thinking. It’s about multitasking. Girls know that guys are way better than them at multitasking. So, they also know that a guy can simultaneously check out other girls around, while talking to her and that to without missing a clue. So, to make herself feel important, girls insist on this point.
5) Remember the dates
This is the most important point where guys suck till the core. Guys can never remember the dates, they can sometimes even forget their own birthday. A girl expects nothing much from a guy, she only expects the guy to remember some of the most important dates like; When they first met, their first date, when he/she proposed, when he/she said yes, their anniversary, her birthday, her best friend’s birthday, her pets birthday, her parents birthdays , their anniversary etc.
Come on guys you can at least remember such important dates.
6) Go shopping with her
A girl would love her boyfriend to accompany her for shopping. Not just to pay for it, but also to help her lift the bags, saying it’s looking great on you for everything she tries on, visiting hundreds of shops to buy a single thing, spent hours bargaining for something which she doesn’t even need and in the end, buying something else which she was not supposed to.
7) Cook with them
A girl would always love her boyfriend to help her with cooking. Not because she loves the guys company in the kitchen, but
a) If she can cook and still the food is bad, she can blame the guy.
b) If she cannot cook, she can take the guys help, as guys are always better than girls at cooking.
8) Go for a movie
A girl would always love her boyfriend to take her out for a movie. Not because they both like that particular movie. It’s just because she likes the movie which is probably going to be a never ending love story. On top of that she can order the guy to fetch her popcorn and other stuff every now and then.
With an unbearable movie the guy also has to handle her nonstop irrelevant commentary which is more frequent than the dialogues in the movie.
9) Give them gifts
Every girl would love her boyfriend to gift her something or the other, every now and then. Not because she loves the gifts that she gets or that the guy happily and willingly buys it for her. It’s just because she can show those gifts to her friends and make them feel jealous about the number of gifts she gets, even when she herself never gifts anything to the guy.
10) Take them places
A girl would love her boyfriend to take her places. It’s not because she loves visiting places with the guy or spending time with him. It’s just about clicking snaps, getting them uploaded on facebook and showing off that they had a great time. No matter that till the time they were at that particular place, the only words they exchanged were “Click one photo like this”.
11) Sms
A girl would always love her boyfriend to sends her messages. Not because she misses him allot. It’s just because she can get the information about each and every movement of the guy and his whereabouts. Even from the sms’s the couple shares, the romantic sms’s are just found in the beginning. Later it’s just orders that the girl gives.
12) Trust them
Every girl would love her boyfriend to trust her blindly in any given situation. But the point is that “Does the guy have another option?

How it got changed?

When exam gets postponed, we try to appreciate smaller things, in this case I have appreciated changes in the smaller things that has undergone during the course of time. Some changes are due to our nature in finding the expiry date on every act of ours. These are the things like :
Touching feet of elders as a mark of respect:
To me this thing has changed half because of our lazy nature and half because of our mentality of finding the expiration date. Let me explain how.
1st the touching of feet of elders was like following a  Spartan law, the famous “dandwat pranam” which has lost its existence and now only is used towards God or 1st degree relative in case of desperation.
I can understand that it was hard for lazy human race to keep up that exercise thing. The it got changed to  touching of feet which our hands & asking for blessing.
Then we got confused, we asked ourselves that we have to discriminate this thing between the relatives who live with us in the same village to those who live in other village.
Then after not so lot of thinking it got changed to customary touching every time for a relative living out and only once a life customary touching followed by touching only knees.
Then we realized that, wait a minute, how long does a relative’s well wish survives . Then we got to the rule that touching feet only in festivals and rest of the time touching the air around the feet without even bending our body.
Eating:
We started off as a hunter- gatherer. Then some lazy ass nomad said to another that “dude chill, lets wait here, I bet u something will come to us”. They waited long enough and witnessed the process of agriculture.
Then agriculture lasted for long till time came when Nomads married working women. They didn’t had time to cook, so they started buying food from other nomads.
Then Nomadic era recession came and the nomads who got kicked out from the “stone gang” started working as delivery boys for more respectful person of the tribe, and that’s how home delivery evolved.
Then we realized that why order different things, it takes time from our schedule of nothing. Then we started putting every ingredient in one thing and fried them and that’s how Samosa, kacori and other junk food evolved.
Then modeling started and Victoria Beckham happened and after that food comes in the form of pills and supplements.
Marriage:
It started as men forcefully taking out the women they wanted with force.
Then “khaap panchayat” happened and we got a concept of marriage.
Then after many years of mental harassment, men realized that marriage is too big a risk and to get the upper hand in marriage men started trends like marrying under water, up in the air, up in the mountain and all the ways possible that would scare her off ad every thing will go smooth afterwards.
In earlier days boys or girls didn’t got the time for having a girlfriend or boyfriend because before they could even realize any sensation from the hormones, they were already married!
Then courtesy “Brahmo samaj, people got the time for GF or BF.
Then having relationship was a slow, steady and meaningful which eventually turned to 2 days chat in Facebook without even knowing that person you are talking is really a girl or boy and it got ended either by jumping into next or by eating rat poison for dinner.
Exercise: Earlier men didn’t needed as they worked enough for their living. Then they started running in the morning. Then it upgraded it to going near a park so that they can also “watch” while they run.
Then they started paying money to run under roof and AC.
And then Arnold Schwarzenegger happened and now we have ½ of youth going seriously to gym and ½ only paying gym fees for a membership card .

Ready for the era of 5-inch smartphones?

HTC's latest big-screen beauty looks set for a UK launch
The trend towards larger smartphone screens looks to be continuing after more leaked shots of the purported UK-bound HTC Deluxe appeared online.
Those international phones, unveiled by HTC during the course of the last few weeks featured a 5-inch, full HD 1080p display.
The device also brought a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, an 8-megapixel camera, 2GB of RAM, 4G LTE mobile internet and the Android Jelly Bean (4.1) operating system out of the box.

The new, rather official-looking photos, obtained by GSM Arena, show a super sleek white handset and the presence of Beats Audio tech.
We've still heard nothing official from HTC about a potential UK launch, but we'll let you know if and when news is forthcoming. Regardless of HTC's plans for the 'Deluxe' we've got a feeling we'll be seeing quite a few 5-inch smartphones arriving in the early part of 2013.

The company's largest handset to date is the 4.7-inch HTC One X.

Google Glass - The Virtual Dieting Pill

Augmented reality glasses, altering a normal Oreo into a GIANT OREO

In a year or two, augmented reality (AR) headsets such as Google Glassmay double up as a virtual dieting pill. New research from the University of Tokyo shows that a very simple AR trick can reduce the amount that you eat by 10% — and yes, the same trick, used in the inverse, can be used to increase food consumption by 15%, too.

The AR trick is very simple: By donning the glasses, the University of Tokyo’s special software “seamlessly” scales up the size of your food. In the video below, you see a person picking up what seems to be an Oreo cookie, and then the software automatically scales it up to 1.5 times its natural size. Using a deformation algorithm, the person’s hand is manipulated so that the giant Oreo appears (somewhat) natural. In testing, this simple trick was enough to reduce the amount of food eaten by 10%.

Samsung wins US court order to access Apple-HTC deal details

A U.S. judge has ordered Apple Inc to disclose to rival Samsung Electronics details of a legal settlement the iPhone maker reached with Taiwan's HTC Corp, including terms of a 10-year patents licensing agreement.

The Korean electronics giant had earlier filed a motion a motion to compel its U.S. rival -- with whom it is waging a bitter legal battle over mobile patents across several countries -- to reveal details of the settlement that was reached on November 10 with HTC but which have been kept under wraps.
In August, the iPhone maker won a $1.05 billion verdict against Samsung after a U.S. jury found that certain Samsung gadgets violated Apple's software and design patents.
Now, legal experts say the question of which patents are covered by the Apple-HTC settlement, and licensing details, could be instrumental in Samsung's efforts to thwart Apple's subsequent quest for a permanent sales ban on its products.
The Asian company has argued it is "almost certain" that the HTC deal covers some of the same patents involved in its own litigation with Apple.

One Direction's 'Take Me Home' Debuts at No. 1 With Year's Third-Biggest Opening

One Direction
One Direction has scored its second No. 1 album in less than a year, as "Take Me Home" explodes atop the Billboard 200 chart with 540,000 copies sold in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Track-By-Track Review One Direction
One Direction
"Up All Night"

It's the third-largest debut sales week of the year, surpassed only by the bows of Taylor Swift's "Red" (1.2 million in its bow) andMumford & Sons' "Babel" (a 600,000-unit start).

"Take Me Home," the group's second effort, follows its "Up All Night" debut, which started atop the Billboard 200 dated March 31 with 176,000 sold. That set marked the first time a U.K. group's debut album bowed at No. 1 in the 56-year history of the chart.

The vocal ensemble also becomes the first group to debut at No. 1 with their first two albums since Danity Kane strutted into the penthouse with "Welcome to the Dollhouse" in 2008 and its self-titled debut in 2006.

Further, One Direction is the second act this year to notch a pair of No. 1 albums within 12 months' time: Justin Bieber did it with "Believe" in July, which came eight months after he bowed at No. 1 with "Under the Mistletoe."

"Take Me Home's" launch is right on target with the number that industry forecasters were projecting last week. Label sources said last Wednesday (14) that the album was aiming to start with between 500,000 to 575,000.

Our usual recap of the top 10 selling albums will be counted down on Wednesday (Nov. 21) morning.

( Editor's note: This story was updated on Nov. 21 to clarify that "Take Me Home" earned the third largest debut of the year, not third largest overall sales week.)

Worlds oldest Digital Computer turned back on after 61 years

The Harwell/WITCH computer, in the olden days
The world’s oldest, original, still-working digital computer has been unveiled at the National Museum of Computing in Bletchley Park, the home of the United Kingdom’s Second World War encryption and codebreaking efforts, where, among other luminaries, Alan Turing and co famously broke the German Enigma cipher.
The computer, originally called Harwell but now called the Wolverhampton Instrument for Teaching Computing from Harwell (WITCH), was originally powered up in 1951 (pictured above). Between 1952 and 1957 the computer was used for early atomic research, and then it was given to Wolverhampton University, where it remained in operation until 1973. Between 1973 and 1997 it was on display at a museum in Birmingham, and then it disappeared into storage, only to be discovered by chance in 2009.

Michael Jackson's Duet Partner Siedah Garrett Talks 'Bad25'

"Bad25," which airs at 9:30 p.m. Thanksgiving Day on ABC and is also for sale on DVD and Blu-ray, includes many such behind-the-scenes moments in the making of the 1987 album, which ranks as the fifth best-selling album all-time with estimates of up to 45 million copies sold worldwide. It's also the first album to unleash five consecutive No. 1 singles, including "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" and "Man in the Mirror."

There's a moment in Spike Lee's new Michael Jackson documentary "Bad25" that Siedah Garrett - co-writer of "Man in the Mirror" and the late Jackson's duet partner on "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" - particularly favors.

"When Michael said he wanted to record 'Man in the Mirror,' the demo was in a key that was comfortable for me and one step too high for Michael," Garrett tells Billboard. "So he wanted me to re-sing the demo in the new key, and when I went into the studio to do it in the new key Michael followed me with a video camera. I said, 'What are you doing?' He said, 'I want to record you performing the song… because I want to sing it like you.' And I'm like, 'Great, Mike; all my friends are really gonna believe me when I tell them, 'Oh, Michael Jackson wanted to sound like me.' And I'm cracking up and he's cracking up, but he's still recording. And it's in ('Bad25'). I never thought I would see it because it's Michael's personal footage. It's amazing."

Adding to the amazement; "You can see a little bit of him in a reflection in the mirror in the studio. You can see him videotaping me singing the song in the new key, and it's like HE'S the man in the mirror."

It's notable that "Bad" got a documentary for its silver anniversary while its predecessor, the more impactful "Thriller," did not, but Garrett has her own theory about why "Bad" resonates so significantly right now.

"'Bad25' is such a stellar marker in time because (Jackson) was still alive when 'Thriller' was 25 years old," Garrett notes. "He was still alive and getting ready to tour, so there was a different kind of vibe going on. I think the fact he's passed now is what makes 'Bad' more special. I did notice that when he passed away, all the news footage and all the specials about his life, it wasn't 'Michael Jackson The Thriller' or 'Michael Jackson Beat It;' it was 'Michael Jackson Man In the Mirror.' That just spoke volumes to me."

"I Just Can't Stop Loving You," meanwhile, had its own behind-the-scenes drama that "Bad25" captures. Jackson and producer Quincy Jones originally considered big-name partners such as Barbra Streisand, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin and others. Unable to snag one, they chose Garrett, then working as one of Jones' staff songwriters. But they neglected to mention it to her until it was time to record the song.

"Quincy called me back and I thought we were still finishing 'Man in the Mirror,' 'cause we had been working on that a few days earlier and I knew we hadn't finished it," Garrett remembers. "There was another song being played, so I thought maybe they were running behind. I just made myself comfortable sitting behind Quincy and knitting, and then he says over his shoulder, 'Do you think this song?' I'm like, 'Yeah, yeah.' Then he said, 'Can you sing it?' 'Yeah.' He said, 'Go in there and sing it. Michael, go in there,' and as we're walking through the door it hit me I was gonna sing this song with Michael - who, Garrett adds, spent the whole take throwing popcorn at her while she was singing her parts.

Garrett has recently released a tribute song called "Keep on Loving You" that she calls "an answer to our duet. I never got to express to him how much what he did for me - introducing me to the world as a singer and a songwriter - meant to me. So I wrote it down in a song, just my sentiments about how I was feeling the day I met him and how surprised I was to find out he was as cool as he was. It's just a love song, a basic love song."

Dog-Like Robot launched By TOSHIBA

Japanese nuclear reactor maker Toshiba on Wednesday unveiled a remote-controlled robot resembling a headless dog that they hope will be used at the battered Fukushima power plant.
The tetrapod, which weighs 65 kilograms (143 pounds) and is about one metre (3 foot, four inches)
tall, is designed to be able to cover difficult terrain -- such as going up steep steps -- that regular robots struggle with.
The robot's triple-jointed legs are designed to give it maximum flexibility, with engineers saying it will be able to go into spaces where high radiation makes it impossible for workers to do so.
The robot can carry a load of 20 kilograms and is equipped with cameras and a radiation meter, expected to help workers decide which parts of buildings are safe to enter and for how long.
The machine can also carry a small wired vehicle equipped with a camera and send it out to crawl into small spaces to carry out inspections.
